Get up brush, login for your work, shutdown, sleep .. repeat. Not a detailed routine but you get the idea, this is the pandemic lifestyle most of the privileged ones are accustomed to. I say privileged because if you see around there are many who have lost their jobs, for many the job they are doing are put on hold or the business itself is paused.
The other day we had water leakage at home, called up the plumber he changed some parts of the water tanker. It fixed the leakage. A week later the leakage problem reoccurred. I got a work around fix myself with the plumbers help over the phone. Another incident where our Air-Conditioner required servicing. The guys came in and said will need to change the switch box of AC it was not working. I said do whatever you want but get it fixed ( between my office calls ). They came back in about 30 minutes and replaced the part and cleaned up and gave me the bill. I told them the panel is not replaced and you have brought back the same panel. The obvious refuting started, I said please do not do this to others.
In these difficult times you get to show your real character. It is probably easy to say this when you are not struggling with your finances. We keep on blaming the authorities of being corrupt or opportunistic , but given a chance aren't we too. In either case I choose not to complaint but hopefully gave them some understanding of their moral responsibility.
When you see a less privileged trying to carry out their business, be it a vegetable or fruit vendor or a local shopkeeper please do not bargain, if they are asking for a higher price and you can still afford it just pay, it might help them, they are risking self in this pandemic to meet their ends. You make a donation for various NGO, this is a hands on help you can provide.
